They call themselves the Women of Wisdom Giving Circle and they focus on helping women and children in the Quad Cities area. The Women of Wisdom were established in June 2009 and will make grants approximately every four months to a charitable organization or program of choice. Hand-In-Hand is the recipient of their first $1,000 award.

The Women of Wisdom don’t just hand out money; they attend regular meetings and discuss the needs of the community. They work by consensus and the Circle’s goal is to make investments in worthy programs and achieve confidence in their giving capabilities. The Women of Wisdom have committed to donating $300 annually for three years, or until $10,000 of their pooled funds have been distributed.
