Regional Nursing Education Coordinator Wanted

The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is seeking an energetic self-starter with excellent organization and communication skills in the field of healthcare and nursing to develop and manage a two-year grant-funded program designed to address the nursing shortage in the Quad Cities.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (nursing preferred) and have five to seven years of progressive experience in the health care area; Master’s Degree preferred (and MSN given highest preference). The individual will be required to identify and develop collaborative relationships with community entities in health care, education, and business; must have demonstrated working knowledge of program evaluation and proficient computer skills.  We are seeking the best person to strengthen a local community coalition that has formed to address the nursing shortage challenge. Communication skills must be sufficient to articulate the purpose of the grant to the community, seek support for ongoing grant activities, and write reports that reflect an analysis of accomplishments and identify program improvements based on measured outcomes. Position is a full-time position, and will have administrative support.

The Community Foundation is able to hire a Regional Nursing Education Coordinator because it has been chosen as one of 10 locations nationwide to receive funding from Partners Investing in Nursing’s Future (PIN,) a unique national initiative to help address the long-term shortage of nurses across the country.
