Home Help for Nonprofits

During these challenging economic times, area nonprofits are reminded of the critical buffer that an adequate endowment can provide against fluctuations in financial support. They are ready for the challenge to build endowment, but often do not have all the internal resources and expertise required to do so.

The Community Foundation offers endowment-building solutions for nonprofits serving our area. We are committed to helping local nonprofits build endowments so that their quality programs and services can continue for years to come. For a nonprofit looking to build upon its success, teaming up with the Foundation can bring a much-needed boost.

The Community Foundation is dedicated to keeping its finger on the pulse of the nonprofit community. In February 2009, the Foundation conducted an online survey to measure the economic health of charitable organizations. Six months later, we sent a follow-up survey to the same nonprofits inquiring about further changes to their economic health since sharing their feedback at the beginning of the year. View our findings.

To accommodate the needs and diversity of local nonprofit organizations, the Community Foundation has two levels of grantmaking. To apply for a grant, click here.
