The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Quad City Caring Awards. Established in 2007, the Caring Awards recognize local individuals for their extraordinary commitment to public service and social responsibility. Winners will be recognized at the Community Foundation’s Annual Celebration on September 29, 2009.

“We seek to honor those who have demonstrated selflessness, exhibited a long-term commitment to service and to the betterment of our community,” said Susan Skora, Community Foundation President/CEO. “To honor the four Quad City Caring Award recipients selected, we will make a $1,000 grant to each nonprofit that nominated the winner.”

Nomination forms can be downloaded by clicking here and must completed and sent to the Community Foundation, 852 Middle Road, Suite 100, Bettendorf, IA by August 15. A citizen committee of community leaders will select the Quad City Caring Award winners.
