Membership

Membership is offered to all individuals who have made a planned gift to the Community Foundation. There is no distinction regarding the size or the type of the gift; however, special recognition is given to members whose gifts includes flexible funds to meet emerging community needs. Examples of planned gift arrangements include:
  • Bequest through a will
  • Gift through a living trust
  • Beneficiary designation in a retirement plan
  • Beneficiary designation or a gift of life insurance
  • Charitable remainder trust
  • Charitable lead trust
  • Charitable gift annuity
  • Remainder interest in a home or farm
  • Contigent beneficiary gift

Benefits of Membership

When you join the Legacy Society, you will find uncommon opportunities to share and connect. Society members are encouraged to participate in their community through the Foundation. In addition to being recognzied in publications and at special events, members receive a symbolic gift of their commitment to the Community Foundation and those it serves.

For those who wish to remain anonymous, we honor that request. Anonymous members of the Legacy Society enjoy all the benefits of membership while being assured that their names remain confidential.
