Grants

Purpose

The Community Foundation of North Lee County annually awards grants from the Community Impact Endowment to area nonprofit organizations to fulfill our mission: To better our community by connecting people who care with causes that matter.

Eligibility

The Foundation generally makes grants only to non-profit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and qualified governmental agencies.  Grants are not awarded in the following areas: annual fund raising, organizational endowment funds, deficit financing, grants to individuals, or for sectarian purposes. Challenge or matching grants may be considered or initiated by the Foundation.

Timeline

Only one application per organization will be accepted each year. Grant applications will open March 1, 2017 and will be due on April 28, 2017.  Grants will be awarded in June.

Amount

Grants will be awarded for a minimum of $250. In 2016, the available grant dollars are expected to be approximately $15,000.

Application Process

Starting in 2016, the Community Foundation of North Lee County will only accept applications via the online grants system. This allows our applicants to complete, save, and submit their grant applications and final reports in one place and have ongoing access to them. No paper applications will be accepted. Applications are reviewed and decisions made by the grants committee of the Community Foundation of North Lee County’s Affiliate Advisory Board.

How to Apply 

Applicants can create their own organizational profile and login information on the system. They can then select the "Community Foundation of North Lee County" opportunity from the list and create an application.

Before you access the grants system, please take the following steps:

  • Visit the Grantseeker Resources page for information on preparing to submit a grant application and resources for using our online grants system.
  • So that you don't miss any important communication from us, please add this email address to your email contact lists: administrator@grantinterface.com. Automated emails from the online grants system will come from this address. (Do not send email to this address.)

Final Reports

All 2016 recipients must submit a final report via the online application system no later than February 28, 2017. For instructions on how to access the online final report, click here.

2015 recipients must complete a final report in order to be considered for the 2016 grant cycle. The 2015 final report form may be downloaded here.
