Timber Lake Playhouse Endowment

A Talented Past with a Hopeful Future

Timber Lake Playhouse has been presenting quality live theater to Midwestern audiences for more than 40 years. Since 1962, the Playhouse has presented more than 350 plays and musicals and more than 3,800 performances. It is the oldest continuous operating summer theatre in Illinois and is proud of its national reputation for excellence as a professional summer stock theatre.

In 2009, the Timber Lake Playhouse Endowment was established through charitable gifts to the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend. Gifts to the endowment will make certain the Playhouse remains a center for cultural opportunity for developing artists and a showcase of quality theatre for the residents of the Midwest.

Timberlake Playhouse is a Nonprofit Endowment Partner at the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.

"Having a strong endowment helps to ensure that the German Ameican Heritage Center is here for future generations to learn from and enjoy."
