Rock Island High School Class of 1956 Foundation Endowment

To leave its legacy for the future, the Rock Island High School Class of 1956 Foundation established an endowment fund that provides scholarships for deserving graduates of Rock Island High School. The Class of ’56 is not necessarily searching for the most academically accomplished student; rather, they seek the motivated student with a career goal and a realistic plan of training or education to reach that goal. Scholarship requirements include an essay on what an education at Rock Island High School means, the goals of the applicant, and what type of education the applicant intends to pursue. The applicant must also have three letters of recommendation.

The RIHS Class of ’56 Foundation regularly solicits donations from the class, but also receives donations from friends of the class. Special gifts including stocks, bonds, bequests and 401k donations are encouraged. Individuals interested in donation to the RIHS Class of ’56 Foundation can do so by clicking on the Donate Now button on this website.

Gifts also can be sent to the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend, 852 Middle Road, Suite 100, Bettendorf, IA  52722.
