Putnam Museum Endowment

The Putnam Museum of History and Natural Science is an iconic cultural institution in the Quad Cities area. Founded in 1867, it is one of the oldest museums west of the Mississippi and enlightens over 180,000 individuals each year. Throughout the years, the Putnam has served to inspire ideas, dialogue and interaction among people of all ages through entertaining experiences that connect them to history, cultures, nature and the environment; by preserving collections and presenting educational programs, IMAX films and exhibits.

To ensure the Putnam remains a cultural amenity, the Putnam Museum Endowment was established in the spring of 2009. Now, in its 15th decade of serving the Quad Cities, the endowment will ensure the Museum’s evolving growth and will continue to enhance its array of cultural offerings; having an even greater impact on the quality of life in the greater Quad Cities region.
