Lowden Public Library Endowed Fund

The Lowden Public Library Endowed Fund was established in 2017 with a gift from Don Meier's estate for the purpose of providing annual support for enrichment and library services to Lowden.

The Lowden Public Library, as a multi-purpose agency, serves the whole person.  To enhance the many interests of its patrons, the library seeks to provide resources for their cultural, educational, information and recreational needs.

Their goal is to expand the library's funding base to sustain current operations and support anticipated growth of service through a program coordinated effort.

The Lowden Public Library became an entity of the City of Lowden during the 1950's.  The library moved to its current location in 1990, a building donated to the city.

This generous donation will allow the library to maintain an up-to-date and well-rounds collection of books, and provide programs for various age groups that address and support the community's cultural and learning needs.

"The Endow Iowa Tax Credit was the perfect way to create a fund while taking advantage of the state tax credit.
