Josh Fullmer memorial Scholarship

Josh Fullmer was a fun-loving young man who thoroughly enjoyed school, even though it was not easy for him academically. He never wanted to miss a day of socializing with his friends and joking with his teachers. He especially loved working on cars in shop class and wrestling on the Pleasant Valley team. A person of character, Josh regularly visited residents of a local nursing home after school just to give them some company. He also was a Mississippi River enthusiast and an avid fisherman. As a devoted son, brother, and friend, Josh loved life and lived each day to the fullest. Unfortunately, Josh’s life was cut short as he died one week after his high school graduation from Pleasant Valley in 1989 due to injuries sustained in a car accident.

The Josh Fullmer Memorial Scholarship was established in 1990 in Josh’s name. Each year, it is awarded to a graduating senior from Pleasant Valley High School who plans to attend a college or vocational school upon graduation.
