Jeremy Scanell Memorial Scholarship

Jeremy was a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and received his coaching certificate from Kirkwood Community College. He was involved with Pleasant Valley sports for numerous years. He was employed at the LeClaire McDonalds and was a member of the LeClaire Civic Club. Jeremy’s dreams revolved around coaching football, whether it was the 7th grade team or the varsity. He was a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and was awarded the Tommy Austin Award for his efforts. Jeremy was granted his wish to meet Michael Jordan in 1995. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

"It would have been a lot harder to go to school without the scholarship. It meant a lot less pressure."
