Janette N. Howard Charitable Giving Fund

 

Janette N. Howard was born on March 8, 1927 in Davenport, IA. After graduating from high school, Janette went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University. She then met and married her husband, who served as Rockford College’s president for 18 years. The Howard’s have four children named Katherine, Marie, Martha and Steve. Throughout her life, Janette has lived in Northern Wisconsin, Rockford, and Florida.

As a young girl, Janette was taught the importance of giving back and investing in the community. Janette has followed in her family’s footsteps and also supports a number of community initiatives. In particular, Janette supports of the Rockford Opera and has established the Janette N. Howard Charitable Giving Fund. The Community Foundation is proud to partner with Ms. Howard.
