HELP Endowment

Since 1970, low-income persons living in Scott County and older persons living in Clinton, Scott and Muscatine Counties have been turning to HELP Legal Assistance for high quality legal services.

HELP is a public charity that serves thousands of individuals who look for professional guidance and representation within the justice system. HELP administers to the needs of its clients by offering an array of services including: advice, preparation of legal documents, negotiations with opposing parties and formally representing their clients.

HELP strives to improve the lives of people living in poverty, to empower clients with self-advocacy skills through education, to treat all people with respect and dignity and to dispel prevailing myths and misconceptions about low-income persons.

HELP created an endowment fund with the Community Foundation to ensure its future. The endowment fund provides an important measure of financial stability for HELP. Each year the fund will aid in the development and overall well-being of HELP’s mission.

"The Foundation ensures that our dollars are used as efficiently as possible."
