Friends of the Moline Public Library Endowment

The Friends of the Moline Public Library is an established 501(c)3 organization serving since 1989 with its mission to support and promote the Library, its programs, materials, and services. To accomplish this mission, Friends volunteers operate a bookselling store within the library. Thirty active volunteers accept donations of books, magazines, cd's, and other materials. They then sort these materials and ready them for our store. The store is open six days a week for four hours each day. The Friends Store is our main source of revenue, along with private donations, paid memberships, and an annual fundraiser.  Our role is to supplement, not replace, public funding.  We are proud to be able to provide approximately $30,000 a year to the Moline Public Library for children and adult programs as well as equipment and materials needed to best serve our community's changing needs.

"Teens for Tomorrow gave me an understanding of local issues and the opportunity to support organizations that work toward solutions."
