Evelyn Lehman iHope Scholarship

The mission of iHope is to provide students at Pleasant Valley Jr. High who display positive character traits and work habits with technological resources and scholarships that will aid in academic achievement and success.

iHope is a nonprofit foundation created by Jeff Paul. Jeff is an 8th grade American History teacher at Pleasant Valley Jr. High. In July of 2009 his grandmother, Evelyn Lehman, passed away. Both Evelyn and her husband gave time, energy, and money to their church, community and to their grandkids. When she died, Evelyn left all of her grandchildren some money. Jeff established the Evelyn Lehman iHope Scholarship in his grandmother’s name. As a professional triathlete, he also donates all of his race winnings to this foundation.

Each year, a graduating senior from Pleasant Valley High School is chosen to receive this scholarship. The recipient must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 and plan to pursue a post-secondary degree, while also demonstrating the good work ethic and character of both Jeff and Evelyn.
