Bettendorf Public Library Foundation Fund

The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 to maintain the excellence of programs and services offered by the Bettendorf Public Library. The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation supports the library through projects and services, activities to advance reading and learning, and special programs that enrich the lives of children, families, older adults and new readers.

While tax dollars allow the library to buy materials and keep the building open, it is only through private donations and gifts that innovative new programs and services are developed to meet the community's changing needs. With tax caps, diminishing state and federal funds and the increasing costs of materials and supplies, cutbacks are inevitable if new sources of funding are not developed. The Library Foundation strives to ensure that the Bettendorf Public Library Information Center can continue to provide for the expectations and for the requests of the community, today and tomorrow.
