Significant growth in endowment often is achieved through estate gifts from generous individuals who believed in and may have supported your organization during their lifetimes. These gifts come though wills and living trusts. Providing the proper language to your donors, volunteers and professional advisors encourages estate gifts through both wills and living trusts. Such gifts are made through the Community Foundation to benefit your organization’s endowment that is administered by the Foundation.
Here is sample language for an estate gift to an Endowment Partner’s fund at the Community Foundation. For more specific language, or if you have questions, please contact Barbara Melbourne for assistance.
