The Community Foundation of the Great River Bend is accepting nominations for its 2010 Quad City Caring Awards. The deadline to send in the nomination form is August 10. The Caring Awards honor volunteers who have demonstrated selflessness and a long-term commitment to service and to the betterment of the community.

Five Caring Award recipients will be chosen and recognized at the Community Foundation's Annual Celebration on September 28, 2010. One of the five awards will be reserved for a young person between the ages of 6 and 21. CFGRB will make a $1,000 grant to each nonprofit organization that nominates a winner. A committee of community leaders will select the recipients of the award.
